Dr. Stapleton graduated from medical school at the University of Calgary, where she also completed residency in internal medicine and gastroenterology. After residency, she did a fellowship in clinical nutrition at the University of Toronto before returning to the University of Calgary and joining the Faculty of Medicine. She is currently an Associate Clinical Professor, program director of the gastroenterology residency training program, and clinician for the Southern Alberta Home Enteral and Parenteral Nutrition Clinic.
