Dr. Jeffrey McCurdy is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the in the University of Ottawa, clinical investigator at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute, and a member of The Ottawa Hospital Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) Center of excellence.

He received his PhD in Immunology from Dalhousie University, and his MD from the University of Ottawa. He completed his training in Internal Medicine, and Gastroenterology at Dalhousie University, and an advanced fellowship in IBD at Mayo Clinic, Rochester.

He is co-chair of IBD Updates, and the Canadian Gastroenterology Residents-in-Training (GRIT) Course.

His research interests focus on identifying predictors of disease related outcomes in IBD, with a focus on infectious exacerbations of IBD, venous thromboembolism and perianal Crohn’s disease.
