Dr. Karen I. Kroeker is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Alberta. She completed her BSc and MD (2004) at the University of Calgary. After completing her core internal medicine residency at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, BC she moved to Edmonton and completed her gastroenterology residency at the University of Alberta (2009), and an Advanced IBD Fellowship in Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). She received her Masters of Experimental Medicine at the University of Alberta in 2012 under the supervision of Dr. Richard Fedorak. Dr. Kroeker has been the Gastroenterology Residency Program Director since 2015.
Dr Kroeker is currently a member of the Mentoring in IBD Curriculum Scientific Steering Committee.
