Dr. Hirschfield holds the inaugural Lily and Terry Horner Chair in Autoimmune Liver Disease, at the University of Toronto. He was formerly Professor of Autoimmune Liver Disease at the University of Birmingham in the UK, and is an established clinician scientist with an interest in understanding and developing new therapies for immune-mediated liver diseases.
