Learning Objectives

The educational objective of the Mentoring in IBD XXIII Master Class is to increase awareness of current developments and best practices in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) management, promote collaboration among Canadian gastroenterologists, and optimize treatment of IBD.

Participants in this program will be able to:

  • Discuss mental health disorders in IBD
  • Explore obesity in IBD and associated manifestations
  • Examine the impact of IBD on bone health
  • Consider thromboembolic complications in IBD
  • Review current knowledge on biologics and newer agents—big and small molecules
  • Survey current IBD literature
