Learning Objectives
The educational objective of the Mentoring in IBD XX program is to increase awareness of current developments and best practices in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) management, promote collaboration among Canadian gastroenterologists, and optimize treatment of IBD.
Participants in this program will be able to:
- Differentiate nutrition as primary therapy for IBD vs. nutritional support and replacement
- Explore new therapies in IBD with emphasis on individualized therapy and strategic sequencing
- Compare endoscopic and radiologic imaging advances in technology for the evaluation of small bowel Crohn’s disease
- Discuss rheumatological manifestations in inflammatory bowel disease
- Examine checkpoint inhibitor colitis, NSAID colopathy and infectious colidites to differentiate IBD mimickers from real IBD
