Learning Objectives
The educational objective of Mentoring in IBD is to increase awareness of current developments and best practices in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) management, promote collaboration among Canadian gastroenterologists, and optimize treatment of IBD.
Participants in this program will be able to:
- Appraise the position of biosimilars in the therapeutic armamentarium for IBD today
- Examine the past, present and future management of IBD beyond anti-TNF-α agents
- Review the management of pyoderma gangrenosum and anti-TNF-α-induced dermatological complications in IBD
- Discuss mucosal healing in IBD with a focus on endoscopy
- Evaluate two clinical trials that will change practice in IBD
