Siew NG is Professor at Department of Medicine and Therapeutics, Chinese University of Hong Kong. She received her medical degree from St Bartholomew’s and Royal London School of Medicine and obtained her PhD from Imperial College London. Dr Ng’s research main research interests include inflammatory bowel disease, gut microbiota and colorectal cancer aiming to further our understanding of the pathogenesis of inflammatory intestinal disorders via clinical trials and translational research. She is President of Hong Kong IBD Society, Scientific Secretary of the International Organization of IBD and Management Committee of the International IBD Genetics Consortium. She has published over 150 peer-reviewed papers in International journals including Nature Genetics, Nature Communications, Lancet, Gastroenterology and Gut. She is pioneer of IBD Epidemiologic and Microbiome research in Asia-Pacific. Her work has received over 20 Prestigious National and International Awards.
