Gil Melmed is Director of Clinical Trials at the Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) Center at Cedars-Sinai, and Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at David Geffen University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Medicine. Dr. Melmed received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania and his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He completed his residency at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and his gastroenterology fellowship at UCLA, where he also received a master’s of science in Clinical Research. Dr. Melmed conducts clinical research in inflammatory bowel disease in the areas of vaccine-preventable illnesses, health-related quality of life, and post-operative outcomes.
